Mono B Clothing Editorial Books

It’s a Long Story

Ever since I was a child, I have always been obsessed with glossy fashion magazines. Growing up in Jakarta, Indonesia, I had several favorite local Indonesian fashion magazines. When I was working as a public relations executive for Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta (a Hong-Kong-based, five-star International chain hotel), we subscribed to dozens of publications, including fashion magazines, and I was in hog heaven. Whenever I was abroad, I’d purchase Vogue, Harper’s BAZAAR, or any Condé Nast magazines, just to leaf through the pages and live vicariously through the models and the articles.

That is why I want the Mono B Clothing’s seasonal books to be more than just photos (the so-called “lookbooks” that are nothing more than glorified catalogs). I want these seasonal books to have information, even just tiny bits and blurbs. And so, armed with research and writing skills, I always strive to put together an editorial book, complete with mini articles.

These editorial books are my baby. I came up with the design, the concept, and the layout, and I’m proud of each and every one I have produced.
