2014–Present
Commercial Freelance Photography
My love for photography began when I started photographing dance performances I attended. Since then, I’ve done commercial work doing event, portrait, and product photography.
Here are samples of commissioned work I’ve done as a freelance photographer and videographer.

Dignity Health Gala and Conference (2015)
In February 2015, I was hired to cover the Dignity Health Human Kindness Gala and the conference that followed it in Long Beach, CA.
Angel Park By Robert F. Santiago Book Cover (2015)
Roberto F. Santiago and I met in 2014 as fellows at the Lambda Literary Writers Retreat in Los Angeles (he in poetry, I in nonfiction). During the retreat, I also photographed several events, including the readings.
He later approached me to photograph the cover of his debut poetry collection, Angel Park (2015), published by Lethe Press. In addition to taking the photograph, I also folded the origami peacock featured in the image.
The final book design was completed by the publisher.
Lambda LitFest (2017)
As a Lambda Literary Foundation alumn (2014 Fellow in Creative Fiction Writing), I felt it came full circle when they hired me to photograph the Lambda LitFest at the Barnsdall Gallery Theater in Los Angeles on March 11, 2017.
Portelli (2014–2016)
Portelli was one of my first clients as a freelance commercial photographer. The LA-based brand produced tumblers, mugs, scarves, and beanies.
Portfolio coming soon.
Carbon & Cloth Home Goods (2016)
In 2016, I was commissioned to do an editorial shoot to showcase Carbon & Cloth’s Holiday collection.
Nolan Irvine (2015)
In 2015, I was hired by the home goods brand, Nolan Irvine, to do a product and editorial-style shoot for their debut collection.
Bloody Ruby Tarot (2024)
While visiting Indonesia, my home country, in 2024, I collaborated with one of my closest friends on promotional photography for his new tarot-reading business, Bloody Ruby Tarot.
Working with the equipment I had brought along, a Sigma 85mm f/1.4 and 35mm f/1.4 lens, I relied entirely on natural light for the shoot.
I also produced a short promotional video for the business’s website.
It was a pleasure to contribute to the launch of his business while exploring its visual identity through photography and video.
